To manage user rights and access controls, BRI has developed a platform known as Brilian ID (IAM). BrilianID MFA is an official mobile multi-factor authentication (MFA) application that utilizes Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) technology for secure access to the Brilian ID portal.
Key features of BrilianID MFA include:
- Device binding specific to user/PN
- QR-Code scanning for onboarding new mobile devices
- Display of a 6-digit TOTP updated every 30 seconds
- TOTP security enhanced with a 6-digit Secure-PIN
- Ability to remove TOTP token devices
Security measures implemented in BrilianID MFA are comprehensive and include:
- Incompatibility with rooted or jailbroken devices
- Non-functional on emulators
- Prevention of usage if ADB/Debug/Developer features are enabled
- Blocking access when non-standard keyboards (e.g., GBoard) are detected
- Screenshots are disabled
- Screen recording and screen sharing capabilities are restricted
